How
Scholarships are Awarded
1.
Applicant must obtain a Scholarship Application Packet from
his/her respective Local, District, or Diocese Congress
Officers.
2.
In order to apply for this Award, the Applicant:
•
Must be an active member of the COCHUSA;
•
Must be an active member of their Local Sunday School
and/or H.Y.M.;
•
Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 from
high school or college;
•
Must be a graduating high school senior or a full-time
college student; and
•
Must agree to become a scholarship financial benefactor
upon completion of college career by giving annually to
this award and becoming an Alumni contributor, and
assist in fund raising endeavors.
3.
As long as all criteria are met annually, Scholarship Awards
will be distributed (when funds are available), for a
maximum of four consecutive years.
Scholarship Application
Process
All Diocese Presidents must
submit applications to Scholarship Board Representative
no later than Pre-Congress Board Meeting – No Exceptions.

Local Churches – City/State
Areas
A committee, made up of
representatives from the Local church, should receive and
review all scholarship applications for their respective
Local Church. One application should be advanced to the
District Level.

District Level
A committee, made up of one
representative from each respective Local Church, should
receive and review all scholarship applications that were
advanced from the Local Churches. One application should
be advanced to the Diocese Level.

Diocese Level
A committee, made up of one
representative from each respective District, should receive
and review all scholarship applications that were
advanced from the District Level. One application should be
advanced to the National Level.
This
application must be given to the Diocese President at
the Diocese Convention. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Diocese Presidents must be sure
to have the application for their respective representative
prior to the National Convention.
Only one
submission per Diocese is accepted.
All Diocese Presidents
must submit applications
to Scholarship Board Representative no later than
Pre-Congress Board Meeting – No
Exceptions.
